Our GRAZy Tango Event is a captivating dance experience in the middle of Graz.
Having taught and performed at festivals all around europe, we know what makes dance events memorable! That is why we focus not only on providing extra solid basics on the dance floor, but also on little things that are important to us:
A cosy and friendly atmosphere, a number of participants that ensures quality, the most beautiful venues possible and of course DJ’s and instructors who care, take their craft serious and actually love social dancing.
This YEAR SPECIAL @ All in One Ball!
Let’s go GRAZy!
Conny, Dado & the GRAZy Team
Ivan hails from Mendoza, Argentina, where he began his artistic career as a soloist at the age of 12. He was trained by his parents, Eduardo Terrazas and Beatriz Herrera, in competitive Malambo and other forms of Argentine folk dance, as well as in classical ballet and Argentine tango. Upon his arrival in the United States, Ivan expanded his repertoire to include salsa and tap dance.
Early on, Sara, kinetically gifted, studied regional folk dances and classical ballet technique in Zagreb, Croatia. Her obsession with Argentine tango began in the late 1990s at the milonga, and she subsequently learned Argentine folk dance. To better understand body mechanics and teach movement techniques, Sara also became a Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis instructor.
Ivan and Sara met in New York City and devoted themselves passionately and intensively to Argentine tango. They were primarily trained by Diego DiFalco, Pablo Pugliese, and Natalia Hills, and also drew from many other influences such as Jorge Torres, Roberto Herrera, Guillermina Quiroga, Gabriel Misse, Carlitos Perez, and Raul Bravo. Together, they are among the youngest and most renowned teachers and performers in the world of Argentine tango. As teachers, they have developed a modern systematic approach to conveying traditional tango. Their goal as teachers is to provide strong fundamentals by emphasizing technique, analytical thinking, logic, naturalness, and comfort in both the closed and open embrace. Ivan and Sara encourage their students to seek connection, movement quality, creative expression, and musicality to make their dance unique.
After living in the United States and Argentina for seven years, Ivan and Sara have now settled in Europe. In addition to their membership in the renowned company ‚Tangueros del Sur,‘ led by Natalia Hills, they have recently performed with ‚Tangox2‘ and ‚Miguel Zotto in Concert,‘ led by Miguel Angel Zotto, ‚Obsesion Tango,‘ led by Tamara Bisceglia, and ‚Compania Roberto Herrera,‘ led by Roberto Herrera. Besides their theater references, Ivan and Sara are popular artists at festivals and workshops and have participated in events such as the Belgrade Tango Encuentro, the Sultans Tango Festival in Istanbul, the Perugia Tango Festival, and the Puerto Rico International Tango Festival.
Their latest project is to create a curriculum for the online tango video instruction giant Tangomeet. Ivan and Sara’s online teaching videos will be released in the spring of 2016.

Graz has an international airport, situated 10 km south of the city. There is public transport from the airport to the city centre by bus and train. The bus stop is in front of the terminal, the train station is a short walk. Here you find the frequency: https://www.flughafen-graz.at/en/terminal/anreise-parken/bus-bahn.html. Of course there are taxis or pre-booked shuttles as well.
Always also check the possibility to fly to Vienna as it might be cheaper and there are pretty good connections to Graz:
– Flix bus – service directly from Vienna Airport to Graz city centre (https://www.flixbus.at)
– Frequent train service to the main railway station Graz Hauptbahnhof (www.oebb.at)
Graz is easily reached by car due to the motorways from/to all directions. For parking we recommend hotel parking or the different Park&Ride possibilities (https://www.graztourismus.at/en/travel-and-transport/parking/park-ride) as the city centre has short-time parking zones and you have to pay all day during the week and till 13.00 on Saturdays. Parking on the streets in districts far from the city centre, parking is free.
Graz is well connected by train and has different railway stations. If you book your train tickets early you get them quite cheaply, for prices check http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en.
