GRAZy Tango Summer Weekend
Körblergasse 1, 8010 Graz
We are happy to welcome Dilara and Malachai from Berlin!
Looking forward to 4 intensive workshops and 2 Milongas. One Milonga @ Tangobaustelle and one in our beautiful Tanzvilla and the Workshops at our wounderfull dancing school Conny & Dado.
Let’s enjoy the Tango atmosphere of summer in combination with the great dance floor in the Tanzvilla.
Dilara Ogretmen is a passionate tango dancer whose journey into the art of Argentine tango began years ago and has developed into a vibrant career that has taken her around the world. From the moment she stepped onto the dance floor, Dilara knew she had found her calling, and since then, she has dedicated herself to mastering the intricate steps, emotional depth, and expressive possibilities of tango. Her dedication and talent have opened doors for her to share the beauty of tango with the world as a sought-after teacher and performer.
Today, Dilara travels the world, giving workshops and performing at renowned tango festivals. Her teaching approach is deeply rooted in the belief that tango is not just a dance, but a language of connection and expression, making her classes a transformative experience for dancers of all levels.
Malachai Payne is a dedicated and passionate tango teacher. For him, tango is not just a love but also a field of research that endlessly captivates him. He wants to share his fascination for tango.
„My heart belongs to social dance, my body to performance, and my mind to teaching.“
In his classes, he strives to provide his students with a solid foundation of essential basics and principles, using exercises, imagery, and innovative applications to make the learning process both unique and exciting.
He has an intense passion for exploring tango methodology and technique with the goal of teaching a theory that offers a variety of possibilities within a structured framework.
In his dance, Malachai focuses primarily on connection, creativity, and comfort.
Graz has an international airport, situated 10 km south of the city. There is public transport from the airport to the city centre by bus and train. The bus stop is in front of the terminal, the train station is a short walk. Here you find the frequency: https://www.flughafen-graz.at/en/terminal/anreise-parken/bus-bahn.html. Of course there are taxis or pre-booked shuttles as well.
Always also check the possibility to fly to Vienna as it might be cheaper and there are pretty good connections to Graz:
– Flix bus – service directly from Vienna Airport to Graz city centre (https://www.flixbus.at)
– Frequent train service to the main railway station Graz Hauptbahnhof (www.oebb.at)
Graz is easily reached by car due to the motorways from/to all directions. For parking we recommend hotel parking or the different Park&Ride possibilities (https://www.graztourismus.at/en/travel-and-transport/parking/park-ride) as the city centre has short-time parking zones and you have to pay all day during the week and till 13.00 on Saturdays. Parking on the streets in districts far from the city centre, parking is free.
Graz is well connected by train and has different railway stations. If you book your train tickets early you get them quite cheaply, for prices check http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en.
